NYFW inspo

Unfortunately for the west coast, Fall+Winter weather didn't come around much, so I haven't been able to wear my favorite winter pieces.
Luckily, it just started to get a bit chilly and NYFW street style has been hitting the blogs, so here are my favorites that will be bringing me some inspiration

//a simple belted shirt dress layered with a neutral cool jacket and a scarf create a dramatic look

//wear your favorite novelty outerwear with a tee+jeans for a cool laid-back effect

//amanda brooks makes layering effortlessly cool with a mix of proportions and colors

//multi-layering with colors and textures and paired with my favorite a. wang mini

//wear a fur scarf as a top and pair with a bold jacket

//pair bright jeans with neutrals for an easy but trendy look

//take note: mix/match your outfit with your shoes by pairing like colors a la celine+a.wang

//love the boyfriend blazer with leather and the fur/leather jacket with slouchy pants

//jenna lyons of j. crew is the go-to for structured looks

my favorite animal photos at the moment

//one for the guys

guys style has really evolved over the past few years and it's something to cheer about
gone are the days where our guys have not cared worrying about how they look
shoes and sneakers have become more novel, the outfits a bit more tailored, and everything is accented with detailed accessories and pops of color
maybe it's because mens designers are offering more...maybe the guys are just trying to step up their game to catch up with the ladies
let's hear it for the guys...

//the bassikes

i'm in love with the australian brand, Bassike
it's been around long before the beloved t by alexander wang capsule, and it's all organic!
founded by the beautiful deborah sams+mary lou ryan, this brand does everything from leather to denim to sunglasses
but they are best known for their every day essential tees and tanks
go ahead and stock pile in all colors and wear every day :)

//elements of design

my favorite designs in ordinary things

1//business cards for love, adorned 2//business cards with a lil neon 3//flash drives by logical art 4//sorbet shades by ellery x graz 5//wine case 6//louis vuitton gold trim envelopes 7//diamond coffee table

//the unexpected

After many edits of my ever growing closet, I've learned that minimal styles last the longest in my collection. They are just simple and timeless.
However...
LOVE me some unexpected beautiful details in shoes and am always on the look for studs, zippers, sparkles, mixed fabrics...
top on my list? velvet heels and the ever elusive givenchy gladiators (in baby blue please!)

//put your back into it

there's something so subtle and sexy about showing your back....whether you show just a glimpse or go full exposure, it creates an interesting element to your outfit
I definitely have a few back detailed shirts I can't wait to wear once it's sunny again!
